Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie only recently denied that their relationship is in trouble. But if their living arrangements are anything to go by, it seems all is not well in team Jolie-Pitt.

The Mail on Sunday has seen exclusive pictures of the sprawling Long Island estate where the couple have been staying for the past four months.

Just a few more weeks until the Sept. 1 return of "Gossip Girl." What can we expect our favorite online gossip columnist to divulge in her summer report? Here's our best guesses based on these sneak-peak shots from the premiere.






...Dan had broken up with Serena for lying and keeping things from him, you know, like the fact that she may have killed someone. In the first season finale, she found solace in Nate, who had inexplicably also ended his budding romance with Vanessa. What have they been doing for the summer? (Besides attending white-on-white formals.) Hopefully, no old feelings have been reignited -- we're looking at you, Nate.




Now that Vanessa is out of the picture, who didn't see this one was coming: A beautiful older woman (played by Madchen Amick) is going to set her sights on the newly single Nate. Will she seduce him? Has she already? This story is sort of a soapy teen drama staple, isn't it? Remember Pacey and Ms. Jacobs? At least we know how it will (probably) end.





When Chuck stood up Blair last season, leaving her stranded at the airport (for Lydia Hearst, no less), we knew he'd regret it. Here's why: He's about to get some healthy competition from Marcus (played by new cast member Patrick Heusinger). Seems like some summer lovin' ensued in Italy while Blair was away. Best get movin' Mr. Bass.

PTC Summary, "Gossip Girl":

Set in the world of wealthy and privileged New York City society, Gossip Girl follows the lives of spoiled prep school teenagers.

The series is based on a series of popular novels by Cecily Von Ziegesar. Main characters include Blair Waldorf, a girl who desperately wants to be perfect, Nate Archibald, her pot-smoking boyfriend, Serena Van der Woodson, who just returned to New York after a mysterious stint at boarding school, and brother and sister Jenny and Dan Humphrey, who live with their single father.

The teens all subscribe to a web cast blog by an anonymous observer known as Gossip Girl, who reports on the goings on in their social circles.

Gossip Girl narrates the show from the position of an all-knowing, all-seeing commentator.

The content in Gossip Girl is decidedly adult, in spite of the characters being teenagers. Language used includes “f’ing,” “crap,” “whore,” “ass,” “bitch,” “slut,” “screw,” “damn,” and “hell.” There has been a prolonged, graphic sex scene between two teenaged characters, and two others where a character offers her virginity to her boyfriend but they’re interrupted.

There were also a few discussions referencing teens having sex, one boy saying a girl was so perfect-looking he wanted to “violate” her, a reference to Viagra, and a scene of Chuck waking up in bed with two young women.

In the violence category, the character of Chuck tries to sexually assault both Serena and Jenny on different occasions. Serena fights him off herself, kicking him in the crotch. Jenny is in even more peril in the midst of Chuck’s sexual advances, and her brother rescues her, punching Chuck in the face.

The teenaged characters on this program are also shown smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol on several occasions. Both the drugs and drinking are presented as glamorous, easy to obtain, and part of their everyday life.

There is no identification of how young teens are able to obtain all the alcohol or the illegal drugs. Parents on this series are also portrayed as distant, uncaring, and are depicted as using their children for personal gain and not seeming concerned about their welfare or happiness.
