Campaign begun to save pregnant Briton from firing squad when she goes on trial for smuggling drugs in the Far East..


Samantha Orobator, 20, was arrested at Wattay Airport in Laos in August last year allegedly in possession of 1.5lb (680g) of heroin after a holiday in Thailand and the Netherlands.

She has been held since her arrest at the notorious Phonthong prison, where she became pregnant in December and where inmates have complained of being beaten and abused..

Then tragedy: On January 25, 2008 Brad Renfro, the former child actor who became famous through his roles in films such as The Client, The Cure, and Tom and Huck, and who just finished shooting The Informers with Winona Ryder, was found dead at his house in LA. He was only 25-years-old.



CSI star Gary Dourdan(41) was formally charged with felony drug possession for possession of heroin, cocaine and ecstasy following his April 28 arrest in Palm Springs, Calif., prosecutors announced Wednesday.
