The Day 10 Year Old Tatum O'Neal Won A Oscar

In 1974, Tatum O'Neal became the youngest person ever to win an Academy Award, a record that still stands as of 2008.

She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Golden Globe Award for New Star Of The Year - Actress for her performance in the film "Paper Moon".

O'Neal played the role of Addie Loggins, a child con artist being tutored by a Depression-era grifter played by her father actor Ryan O'Neal. She was 10 years old at the time she won the award.

Busted In Malibu: Ryan O'Neal and Son Redmond.

Mr. Ryan O’Neal, 67, and his son Redmond, 24, were arrested and booked early this morning in Malibu on suspicion of narcotics possession. The word is a probationary police search of their home turned up methamphetamine.

They are being held on $10,000 bail.

There has been serious drug 'infractions' in the past with the O’Neal family. As a matter of fact, Ryan's daughter Tatum O’Neal was arrested in NY last June after attempting to buy crack cocaine.

Then in early 2007, Ryan and his son Griffin were involved in a physical fight with a fireplace poker being used as a weapon. Griffin was reportedly chained up to his brother Redmond, so he would not buy drugs.
