Actress and sometime Hollywood producer Selma Hayek and her French billionaire boyfriend Francois-Henri Pinault, have now called off their engagement.
Hayeks representatives confirmed the following story:
"We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled. There will be no further comment," Hayek's rep said in a statement.
Selma and Francois met in 2006 in Venice. They have a daughter, Valentina Paloma, who was born in Los Angeles last September. Francios Pinault is the CEO of PPR, the luxury-brands empire that also owns Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga.
Reason for the split? Word has it that Hayek continued to live in LA while Francios, who has several children from a previous marriage, lived and worked in Paris.
Salma was inteviewd by Glamour this year and had this to say:
