Hollywood Swedish Beauty Inger Stevens was Secretly Married to Black Actor

Inger Stevens (October 18, 1934 – April 30, 1970) was a Golden Globe-winning, Emmy-nominated Swedish-American movie and TV actress.

The secret interracial marriage of a white actress to a black man was basically 'barred' in Hollywood.

Several white actresses had either dated or married black actors. Most of them were well kept secrets. And some of them were forced to end the relationships by the powers of Hollywood.

From 1961 to her death Inger Stevens was secretly married to Ike Jones, a black American actor. His marriage to actress Stevens was kept a secret for fear that Ms. Stevens' Hollywood career would be harmed due to the public's disapproval of marriages between blacks and whites at that time. In 1952, he became the first African-American graduate of UCLA's film school.

Did 'Hollywood' kill her? A houseguest found her lying facedown on her kitchen floor on the morning of April 30, 1970, having overdosed on Tedral washed down with alcohol. She was cremated and her ashes scattered over the Pacific Ocean.

Sammy Davis Jr dated both Kim Novak and Marilyn Monroe.

Black singer and actor Sammy Davis Jr had dated both Marilyn Monroe and Kim Novak as well as other major white actresses.

Because of the hollywood firestorm caused by Sammy dating Kim Novak and Marilyn Monroe, a mixture of Mafia pressure and that of Harry Cohn (in charge of Novak's studio, Columbia) forced Sammy to break up the romance.

Sammy Davis Jr later married Swedish beauty & actress May Britt in 1960.
